  • Account information: email address, name, and password (hashed) when you create an account.
  • OAuth data: if you sign in with Google/YouTube, we receive your email, name, and OAuth tokens to access your YouTube channel.
  • Video content: videos you submit for processing (downloaded from YouTube or uploaded directly). Source videos are deleted after clip generation.
  • Usage data: clip counts, subscription tier, and processing history.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the Service (video processing, clip generation).
  • To manage your account and subscription.
  • To send transactional emails (welcome, clip ready notifications).
  • To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
  • To respond to support requests.

3. Data Processing

All video processing (transcription, AI analysis, clip generation) is performed locally on our servers. We do not send your video content to external third-party AI services. Transcription uses local Whisper models, and content analysis uses local LLM models.

4. Data Retention

  • Source videos: deleted immediately after clip generation.
  • Generated clips: retained based on your tier (Free: 48h, Creator: 14 days, Pro: 30 days), then automatically deleted.
  • Account data: retained until you request account deletion.
  • Email subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.

We use minimal cookies strictly necessary for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If Plausible Analytics is enabled, it operates without cookies.

We implement industry-standard security measures including password hashing (bcrypt), JWT authentication, HTTPS encryption, rate limiting, and IP-based abuse prevention. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Export your data.
  • Revoke YouTube/Google access at any time through your Google account settings.

The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. The date at the top indicates the last revision.
