1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SegmaClip ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SegmaClip is an AI-powered video processing service that automatically creates short clips from long-form video content. The Service includes video downloading from YouTube (subject to YouTube's Terms of Service), transcription, AI analysis, and clip generation with subtitles.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.
  • One person may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload or process content that you do not have the right to use.
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access restrictions.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts to access the Service beyond normal use.
  • Share your account credentials with others.

5. Content & Intellectual Property

  • You retain all rights to content you upload or process through the Service.
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any content.
  • SegmaClip does not claim ownership of your content or generated clips.
  • By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. Subscription & Payments

  • Free tier: limited to 3 clips total.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for assistance.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. Clip Retention

Generated clips are stored temporarily based on your subscription tier: Free (48 hours), Creator (14 days), Pro (30 days). After this period, clips are automatically deleted. Download your clips before they expire.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. SegmaClip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your data and clips will be deleted.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
